The 2017 Minnesota State Fair free entertainment lineup features more than 900 shows throughout the Great Minnesota Get-Together’s 12-day run — all free with fair admission. Highlights of this year’s free stage lineup includes “Bad Bad Hats,” performing at the West End at Sunset at the Schell’s Stage at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 1-2.

“Bad Bad Hats” is an indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, says their website. Kerry Alexander (vocals, guitar, wisdom), Chris Hoge (drums, courage), and Noah Boswell (bass, power) met while attending Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The indie rock trio’s songwriting quickly caught the ear of Minneapolis label Afternoon Records. In July of 2015, the band released their debut album, Psychic Reader.

There is something for everyone in the State Fair’s free entertainment schedule.
